Facebook Messenger automation in Kolkata answers your Page's chats and comments in Bengali, English or Hindi as soon as they arrive. MySA Business replies from the Business Details you approved, saves people who show real interest as leads, offers them a call when they want one, and dials every new Facebook Lead Ads lead with an AI voice assistant, usually within about a minute.
Facebook remains a busy channel for many Kolkata businesses, and the questions come in waves: before the Pujas, before the winter holidays, before exams.
Kolkata businesses that hear from customers on Facebook
Kolkata is known for its festivals, its sweets, its love of travel and its long tradition of handloom and education. These are scenarios, not named customers:
- Tour operators. Packages to the hills, the sea and the North-East bring Lead Ads form fills and "Puja-r chhutite package ache?" in Messenger.
- Sweet shops and bakeries. Festive gift boxes and party orders lead to questions on sizes, prices and delivery areas.
- Handloom and saree sellers. Sellers who post tant, jamdani and silk collections get "price?" and "courier to Bangalore?" under every post.
- Tuition and spoken-English centres. Parents and students ask about batches, subjects and fees, mostly in the evening.
Facebook Messenger automation in Kolkata: what you switch on
Sign in with Facebook, pick the Page, and choose the Business Details category the AI answers from. Facebook is enabled per workspace with a limit on the number of Pages.
- Messenger AI replies in the language the customer writes in, Bengali included, using only what you approved. If your gift-box price list is not in Business Details, the AI will not guess one.
- Reply timing of instant, or 5, 10, 15 or custom seconds (a 30-second ceiling), so a few quick lines become one reply.
- Page comment modes: Off, Public reply, Private reply in Messenger, or Hybrid. Comments that are not questions are left alone. A handloom seller could use Hybrid: a short public line, with the price sent privately.
- Templates: a card, an image with text, or a carousel with Link, Call and WhatsApp buttons, sent on a keyword, a comment keyword, or when the AI picks one.
- Lead capture: never on the first message. From the second message on, when someone asks about price, booking, availability or a visit, the AI asks once for a name and mobile number, and any Indian mobile number typed in the chat becomes a lead.
The details are on Facebook Messenger automation, and setup steps in the Instagram & Facebook docs.
Turning chats into calls, with consent
Travel and festive orders are often settled by voice. Intent-based calling ("Call when the customer agrees") handles this: when a chat shows buying intent and the customer has shared a number, the AI asks once whether your team may call. On a yes, an AI call goes out in the customer's language with a summary of the chat; on a no, the AI keeps helping in Messenger and does not ask again. One such call a day at most goes to the same number across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, inside your DND rules and wallet balance.
Example: a tour package Lead Ad, called back in Bengali
Lead Ads form fills go to a webhook campaign. Your ad setup, or a connector, posts each lead to your MySA webhook URL; you map the fields once from the first lead; and each new lead is called, usually within about a minute.
Example
A form fill arrives at 8:05 pm from a "hills in October" tour ad. Bengali is the campaign's call language; the call is shown here in English.
AI: Good evening Moumita, you just asked about our hill tour package. Do you have two minutes?
Moumita: Yes. Is the October trip during the Puja holidays?
AI: The package runs on the dates listed for October. How many people would be travelling?
Moumita: Four. Two adults, two children.
AI: Thank you. Would you like our team to call you tomorrow with the exact cost for four?
Moumita: Tomorrow after 6 pm.
The call is saved with a recording, an AI summary, sentiment and tags, and a follow-up call is scheduled for after 6 pm the next day, in Bengali.
The campaign keeps a cap on calls per customer per day and a minimum gap between calls. Calls that fall inside your DND hours are held and placed when the window ends, and no call goes out if the wallet balance is too low. "Call me later" becomes a follow-up.
Live data, your team and the numbers
Seats on a departure or sweets left for the day are live figures. With Custom APIs enabled for your workspace, you can tick your own API under Live data in replies so the AI checks it before answering. An API that needs the customer's mobile number is skipped in Messenger, since Messenger does not share one.
Every chat appears in the live inbox, where your staff can reply by hand at any time. The AI never passes a chat to a person on its own. Channel Report shows chat leads, how many came from Facebook, how many agreed to a call and how many calls were placed.

Sign up and verify your mobile for ₹100 of Test credit in a separate Test workspace. Add your Business Details, connect your Page, and test with messages from a personal account.
